Welcome to Yaara. By using the Yaara mobile application, website (yaara.social), or any of our services, you agree to these Terms & Conditions. Please read them carefully.

1. Acceptance of Terms

By creating an account or using Yaara, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the platform. We may update these Terms from time to time — continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old to use Yaara, or the minimum age required by applicable law in your jurisdiction. In India, users under 18 require verifiable parental consent in accordance with the DPDP Act 2023
You must be a real human being — bots, automated accounts, and AI-operated accounts are strictly prohibited
You may only have one account per person
You must complete our verification process to access all platform features

3. The Humans Only Policy

Yaara is built on the principle that every user is a verified real person. You agree to:

Provide truthful and accurate information during registration and verification
Not create accounts on behalf of other people or entities
Not use automation, bots, scripts, or any software to operate your account
Not attempt to circumvent or manipulate the verification process

Violation of the Humans Only policy will result in immediate and permanent account termination.

4. Your Account

You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account and all activity that occurs under it. You agree to:

Keep your login credentials secure and not share them
Notify us immediately if you suspect unauthorized access
Not transfer or sell your account to another person

5. Connection Limits

Yaara limits each user to a maximum of 300 friend connections. This is a core design principle of the platform, not a limitation. You agree to not attempt to circumvent this limit through any means.

6. Community Conduct

When participating in communities, you agree to:

Treat other members with respect and dignity
Not post content that is illegal, abusive, threatening, defamatory, or harassing
Not spam, flood, or disrupt community spaces
Respect community-specific rules set by community governance
Not impersonate other people or misrepresent your identity
Not use Yaara for any illegal or unauthorized purpose

7. Content Ownership

You retain ownership of content you create and post on Yaara. By posting content, you grant Yaara a non-exclusive, worldwide license to display, distribute, and store your content as necessary to operate the platform.

You are solely responsible for the content you post. We do not monitor or endorse user content.

8. Democratic Governance

Communities on Yaara operate through democratic governance features (voting, polls, elections). You agree to respect the outcomes of community decisions made through these mechanisms.

9. Privacy & Encryption

Your privacy is fundamental to Yaara. Direct messages are encrypted end-to-end — we cannot read them. For full details on how we handle your data, see our Privacy Policy.

10. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your account if you:

Violate these Terms or the Humans Only policy
Engage in abusive, harmful, or illegal behavior
Attempt to compromise platform security or other users' accounts

You may delete your account at any time. Upon deletion, your personal data will be permanently removed as described in our Privacy Policy.

11. Disclaimers

Yaara is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free service. We are not responsible for content posted by users or actions taken by community members.

12. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Yaara and its team shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the platform.

13. Governing Law

These Terms constitute a legal agreement between you and Yaara Social Technologies Pvt Ltd, a company registered in India. These Terms are governed by the laws of India. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Bengaluru, Karnataka, India.
