Yaara Social Technologies Pvt Ltd ("Yaara", "we", "us", or "our") operates the Yaara mobile application and website (yaara.social). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information when you use our services.
Account Information: When you create an account, we collect your email address, name, and username. This is required to identify you on the platform.
Profile Data: You may choose to provide additional information such as a bio, avatar photo, and location (city/pincode). This is optional and controlled by you.
Community & Social Data: We store your community memberships, friend connections (limited to 300), and activity within communities such as posts, votes, and event participation.
Messages: Your direct messages are encrypted end-to-end. We store encrypted message data on our servers but cannot read the contents of your messages.
Device Information: We collect basic device information (device model, OS version, unique device identifiers) for human verification purposes and to ensure one account per device. This does not include tracking across other apps.

Data sharing: None of the above data is shared with third parties for advertising, marketing, analytics, or any other purpose. Data is processed solely to provide and improve Yaara's services.
All direct messages on Yaara are encrypted end-to-end. Each conversation uses its own encryption key. We cannot read your messages — not even if compelled by a third party, because we do not hold the decryption keys.
We use industry-standard security measures to protect your account data, including secure server infrastructure, encrypted connections (HTTPS/TLS), and regular security audits.
Your data is stored on secure servers. We retain your data for as long as your account is active. You can request deletion of your account and all associated data at any time by contacting us.

Yaara is not intended for children under the age of 18. In compliance with India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act 2023 and other applicable laws, we do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18 without verifiable parental consent. If we become aware that we have collected data from a minor without appropriate consent, we will delete it promptly.
